If you like ANY of the Tales games this is a definite must have.
You play as Yuri Lowell, a character who's personality becomes quite dark despite him being the same lovable character as any other main character would be. Tales of Vesperia lets you take another look at the hero role. In this case Yuri Lowell occasionally takes the law into his own hands to provide justice. Some of the other characters include a healing princess, a bite sized guild member, a mysterious old man, a young famous magic student, a 'sexy' lancer and Yuri's lovable companion. All of them an asset to the game filling the story a little bit at a time every time someone is recruited.
The world depends on this ancient technology "blastia" and the empire that controls it begins to become power hungry. Yuri must find a solution to this problem as it directly effects his home. through the game your adventure is intertwined with Yuri's non-playable best friend Flynn.
The battle system is just what you'd expect from a Tales game, you run around a ring and there is a very involving real time battle in action adventure style, a feature that always made the tales game stand out.
The game looks great and its packed with stuff like alternate costume and a new game+ that give it some extra replay value that isn't completely necessary as it does the job in one play through, but is a great addition to a great game. every little detail makes the game a bit more fun.
Tales of Vesperia is a definite hit and has every last bit of greatness you'd need from such a title. If you're into the tales games or just a fan of RPG's on the Xbox 360, this game is for you.
