Not too easy, not too hard. Just right for hardcore gamers and casual gamers. The Wii has got a winner.
Tatsunoko vs Capcom is like MvC except that Tatsu only uses 2 characters instead of 3.
Gameplay: Simple, button mashing fun. If you like Super Smash Bros Melee, this game is right for you. Casual players can play with just mashing buttons for combos and specials while the more hardcore players would use the Wii Classic Controller. It's very satisfying when you can chain combos quick and fast and watch your opponent's bar drop quick.
Music: Not bad for some of the music composed here as I enjoy a lot of it. I like Jun the Swan's intro a lot for some reason... don't ask me.
Online Gameplay: This got me nodding my head in disappointment. The online game play is fun ONLY if you don't cheat your way up the rank. Hear me out here, matchmaking isn't that "great." You could be a beginner, matched with someone with 500BPs or if you have 1500 matched with a 2500. It really doesn't matter what rank you are as long as you get to play. There are some "laggers" out there but most of the time, it is lag free so... I'm not too disappointed.
Characters: Some has been seen and some have not. Ryu, Chun Li, Alex, Megaman, Roll, Zero, West and that's who I can name off my head are really... well... well known OUTSIDE of Japan. The rest, Tatsunoko characters are unknown or not very well known anywhere else. HOWEVER, it doesn't mean that you wouldn't enjoy playing. I love how these characters play differently and the unpredictability (I mean come on, how many times do I have to dodge Ryu's Hadouken?) Favorite characters for me are Jun the Swan, Karas and Yatterman. They needed to add more Capcom characters such as Ken (RYU WITH NO KEN?!)
Pros:
- Simple as mashing buttons.
- Competitive Online (rank or non-rank.)
- Party Goodness!
Cons:
- Characters (Not enough and the "whose that?")
- Short Story mode.
- Gets boring if you're not a multiplayer fan.
9/10.
