An underrated yet classic game. If you happen to come across it, pick it up. You will not be disappointed.
There is not much, or any, story to Teddy Boy but the game itself is a lot of fun. You control a character and the aim of the game is to shoot all your enemies before the time runs out. When you kill an enemy they appear to drop an icon of some sort and your job is to collect these. Even though you may of defeated each and everyone of these enemies, you won't be able to move onto the next stage unless you collect the icons that the enemies have left for you. Over a period of the time, these icons will disappear but when they do, they take time off, making it harder to finish the level before the time runs out.
When moving onto later part of the games, the levels start to become more complex and the enemies start to really get interesting. From snails to enemies that look like Jelly to enemies that appear to be flying crocodile heads. It takes some practice and a bit of luck, but the addictive gameplay keeps you coming back for more.
Like many other games, when you move to the far left of the stage, your character appears on the far right however it isn't as simple as that. The camera moves with your character and you first don't notice this until you see the same enemy twice. This makes the gameplay more interesting and allows you to be a little bit creative when defeating your enemies. It is a bit hard to explain
This game is pretty interesting and uses a bit of imagination to work out what some things in the game are. This review doesn't give the game justice to how great it is, however it is quite fun to play and if you happen to come across it, wipe the dust of that Sega Master System and give it a try.
