I was excited when i saw this game was coming to XBLA because Turtles in Time was and still is one of my favorite SNES games. This "Re-shelling" though simply adds flashy visuals while stripping away the fun. The combat feels weak and way to simplistic. Fans of the original remember the flips, kicks, and multiple techniques that each turtle had depending on the order of the buttons you pressed, while in this remake you simply walk around repeating the same swinging motion as you literally plow right through the enemies. It doesn't feel like you're striking each foot soldier as it used to, rather you're just simply cruising through them as they bounce off you and your one single attack. Specials are poorly implemented and rarely useful so why even waste the health it costs to use one? Boss fights are boring and often frustrating.
All in all a poor excuse of a remake. If you want turtles in time, don't waste the Microsoft points, play the original.
