Shredder's got some time to kill - Three billion years of hi-tech turtle terror!
LOL That was on the back of the box.
This game is awesome especially if your a fan of the TMNT, even if your not its still an awesome side scrolling fighting game. Great multiplayer game because you can choose your favorite two turtles to fight thru the game to defeat the Shredder. You can even fight each other in versus mode, but i feel the best part of the game is the campaign mode. Also it is more fun to play with a friend instead of on single player.
Im not a computer brain but ill try to remember what I can about the levels. It starts out in New York and your fight your way going right till you get to the first boss on a bridge, The flying Fly guy... Baxter i think his name is. Next level is on the streets to fight robo-turtle guy at the end. Next is either the super drome?? or the Sewer surfing where you ride motor powered surf boards to kick and hit enemys that are around you and avoid bombs and other obstacles that come in your way. If the super drome is next you go thru the level and fight beebop/rocksteady then ride the elevator up to Shredder who shoots his lasers at you. This shredder boss is one of my favorite boss fights in the game because you take foot pads(troopers??) and throw them at Shredder who looks like he is sitting where you are. You do this because of the game's revolutionary game play factors where you can do a finishing move to enemys by throwing them out far in the world or to hit your tv screen. It is really funny because they like splat on your tv screen and slide down lol. One of the best things in the game is making them hit the tv screen in my opinion.
After you defeat Shredder he is like "o no you didnt "and throws you into the past somehow on his big television screen. You come to the next level which is some crazy number B.C. and your fight dinosaurs, foot pads riding dinosaurs(how that happen) and other rock style enemys till you get to prehistoric turtle which is one of the hardest bosses in the game in my opinion. He does flips and things that make it hard to hit him, you have to like jump and kick to hit him most of the time and if you get close to him he hits you easily. After this level it seems to be smooth sailing in the game. The next levels are I think a pirate boat with bebop/rocksteady pirate boss, train in the old west i think the boss shoots a gun maybe bebop again?, and then way into future in a factory with that huge ogre guy with the brain in his stomach I really wish i knew his name. Then its onto futuristic streets where you ride flying skateboards like Back to the future movie and this is also a really fun level, it is kinda like the sewer surfing level except way more options on where to go and what to do. Then i think it is Shredder's futuristic place then onto Lady Liberty where you beat a giant Shredder and win the game.
Picking up this game is very easy. The last time I played I was with my 5 year old nephew and we got far and he barely knows what a game is. I basically told him move right and hit the attack button hehe. So the difficulty is easy to hard at times. Definately enough lifes and continues to complete the game which I like to see, but at times you can fail just because of how much enemys you can get at a time.
Definately a good game to buy. I got my idea to buy this from playing the arcade version a long time ago.
