Happy 10th anniversery Tekken! I have to say this is my favorite fighting game of all time. Virtual fighter may claim to be the the most balanced of the fighting games but it is kinda like comparing the NBA to street ball. When tekken is played well it just looks fantastic. The balancing in this one is the best yet I have seen even making some characters which some people claimed to be lacking a threat to be worrisome over (ex Kuma and Jack so and so). Huge cast of charecters. I believe there are more default charecters then tekken 4 had total charecters. Each charecter is very unique with their own fighting style and with enough moves to keep you very busy to try to master them all. New characters fit in well with Asuka being very Jun like, Raven being a litte too.. .bladeish but still very cool and Feng Wei having a unique style of his own too. They also took out the useless position swap moves for everyone which was a nice touch if you ask me. Story mode is pretty interesting and gives each charecter some verbal interaction with usually 1 or 2 other charecters (Usually at stage 4 and 7) and each one ends with a movie which some are very entertaining. I do have a little gripe with Jinpachi Mishima, the final boss. I found him a little too good for his own good sometimes and even at the eaiser difficulties he may take awhile to put him in his place. Another mode in the game is arcade mode which is pretty much a direct copy of the one used in virtua fighter where you fight different A.I. levels and level up your charecters rank. Its a fun idea that makes the game fun and interesting, especially with the lack on online play. You also earn money here to buy different outfits or accessories for your charecters. This is a good idea to give your charecter a unique look. The mode I was most excited to see in this game was the arcade classics mode. in here they let you play with arcade versions of tekken, tekken 2 and tekken 3 (arcade mode so no gon or Dr.B) it was a nice little flashback. They also include a game called starblade which is an arcade style vector shooter which honestly ended up making me a bit dizzy. ah yes...then there is devil within mode... disappointingly boring if you ask me, you play as Jin going around beating guys up and solving simple puzzles on levels that are just too long for their own good. Overall this is a game that you will be able to play with your friends for a long time and well worth the name Tekken
