You may think why waste money for this game while its on PSP with extras? Well the main difference is that the graphics have been improved from the Arcade Version, Jinpachi Mishima is now playable exclusively in the PS3 version but not forgotten, Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection is presented in High Definition and good news, its presented also in True HD 1080p. The graphics may not come close to Virtua Fighter 5 but you get crisp graphics and you also get beautiful stages presented in HD.
The other reason to get this game is because of the controls, I personally got this game already owning the PSP version because I find it difficult to execute commands and attacks with the PSP's D Pad, with the PS3 controller, it is a lot easier to beat the crap outta ya mates and opponents as the PSPs D Pad has been known to have made PSP games such as Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Darkstalkers difficult to play.
Like all Tekkens, this game runs at 60fps and continues to keep the solid, brilliant, intense gameplay Tekken has delivered to fighting fans.
Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection offers all the characters from the PSP version but with Jinpachi Mishima who wasnt available in the PS2 Tekken 5 and the PSPs Tekken Dark Resurrection. To put it clear, Jinpachi like Gill from Street Fighter 3 and many SNK bosses which have pi**ed off gamers like hell is BROKEN, he totally breaks the balance in the fight, but at least hes there for fun! ^_^
Your also offered the multiplayer options so you can hand out an asskicking to your friends which is a nice touch to the download.
A good unlockable in this version of Tekken 5 DR is the stages from Tekken 5 become available. In Dark Resurrection, you get modifed stages with different music. With this unlockable, you get the Tekken 5 stages with their music presented in High Defenition which is a nice touch to a game which is worth its purchase.
You can also download (by earning G in Arcade Mode) Epilogues of Armor King, Lili and Dragonov. Also available are artwork of Tekken 5's characters, stages and etc.
Only Negative I can think off is the graphics, not next gen but it still looks great in 1080p, then again that isnt a negative.
It would have been nice to have seen the features of the Home Versions in this game such as Tekken Bowling, Training Mode, Theatre the list goes on but with that cheap price tag on this download, I wouldnt be so fussed.
Overall, this game is essential to download. It is worth the download and purchase. If you have a PlayStaton 3 and need something to play with your mates then this is it. ENTER THE TEKKEN!!
