Tekken5 takes all positive elements from previous installments,blended with new ideas making it a flawless fighting game
Tekken 5 is definately the best installment in the Tekken series,this game has gone far beyond for what i expected,then again anything is possiable with Namco's amazing fighting games.Whats really unique about this game is that its fun for everyone,there are so many things you can do,theres no limit with a little something for everyone.Tekken has always had an excellent gameplay ,with great visuals for its respective platform,and now Tekken 5 has proved itself to take its exicting franchise to the next level.
Tekken 5 has removed the endless environments and brought some solid ambients environments to the game,now you can take advantage of your opponent when stuck at the end of the environment,cool huh?
Like Tekken 4, you can smash your opponents through pillars,walls,crack the ground by droping them,its pretty neat,and aside from the insane juggle combos of each characters,when it comes to speed this Tekken 5 is the fastest from all the previous ones yet,"not as fast as DOA Ultimate"but the fastest from all the Tekken series...
Tekken 5 features a large number of characters,most of them are a comeback from the previous parts with three new characters (Asuka Kazama,Raven,Feng Wei)
As i mentioned before that there are manythings to keep everyone busy and entertained heres an example for whats instored,there are training modes,time trials,arcade,versus battles,story mode,arcade history mode featuring Tekken 1 2 and 3 to remind you of the good old days,Tekkens own beat um up game called The Devil Within,which is'nt quite up to the mark,facing facts here its more monotonous then anything,and the best part is you can now modify your characters apperance,how cool is that...
This games story mode is definately the best in the series with narrated prologues that are eventually finished with great cinimatic endings...Whereas the endings some of them are humourous with some serious endings........Tekken is a flawless fighting game aside from no online mode,yes no online.
Having no online is the only disappointment in the game,ohhh well,cant have butter and cheese together huh? "Dont answer that" Lol
But really its not that bad with no online mode,for what this game has shaped up to be...
The graphics of the game has made a difference,environments are atmospheric,ambient,highly detailed,with impressive character models from their clear faces to their thick textured bodies,that where we come to the conclusion that this is another one of the best looking games for the Playstation-2.
About the audio,the game features solid voice acting especially for the first time each character speaks full lines of dialogues in the story mode,the sound tracks of the game makes this awesome game superb,yes,the sound tracks and quality in the game really builds up your adrenaline.
Overall this game packs up quite a punch for this genre,its well balenced in all aspects,basically has everythin you need in a great fighting game,its technical,great A.I,visually stunning from the platforms perspective,excellent sound,therefore Namco leaves us with a game well worth waiting for...
