As a Tekken fighter since the 1st installment, this is a shave back . . .
* The lag time between when you throw a blow vs. when the blow is actually thrown is horrendous!! It's not an instantaneous response at all. The gap in response is generally the difference between a win & a loss!! It's that critical! I have you see any breaks in the action of gameplay, but that lag in in button presses vs. actual blows thrown, tends to make some people appear to be A LOT better than what they are!! The further away your opponent is, the worse the lag time.
* The load times on this game (especially after a loss) makes you wanna scream like you were on that GameFly commercial. It's takes almost up to 30 seconds, at times, to get back into the action!! It's enough to make you wanna snap your disc & piss away your $64.19!! LOL You'll really feel that way, after it seems like forever to take another stab at Azazel, after 1 of your many losses to him (& there will be PLENTY!!!)!!
* The campaign mode is relatively uninspiring; but, you must play it, in order to earn the bulk of your money, & to unlock each character's back story. Not too bad, but who REALLY wants to fight Azazel at least 42 times?!?!? The cut scenes are rendered nicely, but the print for the silent closed captions are so small, who's really gonna read it, in order to follow an already boring story?!
* Much like the path of MK Armageddon, with the introduction of so many characters on this game, most of your familiar characters have lost 20% of their figthin' moves in their arsenal. You're forced to get reintroduced to your favorite characters that you've probably fought with thru the 1st 5 versions of this title. It can be extremely nerve rackin' to attempt a mmove that you know your character should be able to do, but no longer can. However, some of the new characters are actually pretty good (Bob was a sleeper!)
Overall, when it comes to this installment of Tekken, don't come into with the mindset of havin' completely been here before. You'll get surprised like that . . .
