User Rating: 10 | Tekken 6 PS3
I gotta say, after waiting two long years and almost 10 months, it was well worth the wait. Not to mention watching all those videos of Tekken being played in arcades on YouTube, but I can't complain. Anyway, Tekken finally makes its comeback on the PS3 with an expanded story mode, dozens of customizations, and endless battles. Even SCIV got's nothing on this. Well, SFIV deserves the same recognition, as it is one of the true saviors of the fighting genre, but now it's all about the King of Iron Fist.

This sixth chapter continues with Jin Kazama, as always being the victor of the KoIF tournament, but for some reason, he turns evil instead of ending the bloodline and takes over the Zaibatsu. Afterwards, he builded large armies and created chaos across the globe, thus ending the governmental rule and made his organization an independent republic. But G Corporation, the rival opposite, with Kazuya as the main leader and who is looked upon as the world's hero, has put a bounty on Jin's head. In retaliation, Jin announced the sixth tournament as a way of ending things once for all.

The Scenario Campaign mode picks off when Jin started the tournament and ordered Lars Alexandersson, the now leader of the rebel, the hero of the mode, and Jin's soon-to-be enemy, to stop members of the G Corp. He also would to face his former leader and the Zaibatsu when the time comes. For some reason, they wouldn't allow you to play with two players offline, but that's important. Afterwards, you unlock other characters to play on the SC mode. And the 'Arena' area is where you play the stories of every character to see their endings. Man, I surprised I didn't have to unlock anyone in order play them like in the last seven Tekken games.

As for Offline Mode, it contains Arcade, Ghost Battle, Team Battle, Survival, Practice, etc. Like I said before, it's all the same. But the gameplay, the bound system is so sleek and unreal, as in juggling opponents up and down with nasty combos. This is the second thing I love about this game. And the customizations had also been expanded and it has gotten more expensive, which is probably the last thing I expected. But all is fair in love and video games. I'm still sticking with my faves, though.

And the third best thing about Tekken 6 is that you can play custom soundtracks on the game. Finally, PS3 can compete with the X360. Never again would I have to worry about using the Internet in order to do system updates.

Overall, this sixth installment of the Tekken series is near perfection in the history of fighting games. I say good luck for you Xbox gamers, but the PS3 will always be the superior version when it comes to Tekken.
