This game was a fun strategy RPG, but it was over too soon.

User Rating: 8.4 | Tenchi Muyou! Game-Hen SNES
I was never a fan of strategy RPGs until I played this game. It has a certain charm to it that makes it so addicting, that you just want to keep playing it. I hope that when you read this review, you'll at least try the game, even if you don't like it.

Graphics

For the SNES, this game looked pretty good. The art was just like the Tenchi Muyo anime series, which was clean and colorful, so the game looks good. Although it did look good, there was nothing completely special about the graphics either. None the less, the game looked clean and good.

Gameplay

This game was fun. The only problem was, it was short. If this game was about 10 hours longer, I would give it a much higher score. I loved the gameplay style in this game. The game features about 7 different characters, each with their own unique abilities, and all of them can transform into a more powerful version of themselves, which has different abilities. The board on which you play has many different obstacles that can affect where you can move. The enemies are interesting enough, and their A.I. is decent, but sometimes they can make pretty dumb mistakes. All in all a really fun game, but too short.

Sound

This game isn't very good with sound.. The music is lackluster and boring, and it gets annoying after a while. The little voice overs for battle cries are annoying as hell, and you can't turn them off. It's best to play this game on mute.

Replayability

Really, this one depends on the person playing. I personally played through it a couple times, just to use different characters and visit some places I missed the first time around, but some people might not be up to it after the first go around. So this ones a flip of the coin.

Overall

I would definitely recommend you try this game, it's fun and good for a quick romp into strategy RPGs, if you have some time to kill, definately try this game out.
