A great version? Yes. But if you take your tetris-izing seriously, then read on...
Where I will go is into the glaring oversights that this Wii version of Tetris should have:
1) THERE IS NO SUPPORT FOR THE GAMECUBE CONTROLLER.
I have two Wiimotes and two Gamecube controllers. This is enough to play 4-player Mariocart with friends. Why isn't it enough to play 4-player Tetris? All one needs is a directional pad with 2 buttons fer chrissakes. That's great that they took the time to map the controls to the Classic Controller, but one could map the damn game controls onto the nunchuck- without the wiimote.
2) THE DIFFICULTY LEVEL DOESN'T ADJUST AS YOU PLAY.
In multiplayer, the modes are not balanced. If both players are good, there is simply no way to defeat each other because the blocks don't ever begin to fall faster, and there is no way to damage the other person at a quick enough rate to force them into losing.
3) THE MUSIC BLOWS AND IS REPETITIVE.
4) THE MUSIC BLOWS AND IS REPETITIVE.
5) THE MUSIC BLOWS AND IS REPETITIVE.
I'm gonna go play Columns and feel snarky... then I'll probably be back to this...
