Tetris Party is lots of fun and it's loaded with content. Don't miss out on it.
Party plays like any other Tetris game. You flip blocks and try to clear lines. You can hold your Wii Remote sideways or play using a Wii Classic Controler. With the remote, you flip blocks using 1 and 2, hold blocks using A and use items using B. You move the blocks around with the + pad. If you've played a Tetris game before , you'll know what to expect. There's new modes such as Stage racer where you try to get a block to the end of the level,which are challenging,but rewarding. There's also Shadow where you try to fill up a black shape with blocks,which again are challenging and rewarding. There's also Beginner's Tetris and Wii Balance Board Tetris. Beginner's Tetris is obviously great for beginners(like me),and I haven't tried Wii Balance Board Tetris,because I have no Balance Board, There's even online multiplayer which supports up to 6 players in battle mode and 2 players in a normal match. There's leaderboards and more,but unfortunately there's friend codes. For even more replay value, there's offline achievements, but none for online. It takes up 244 blocks plus 6 more for profiles.
Tetris Party has simple but clean graphics. The menus could look nicer, but they're decent enough. When you're playing, it looks nice and simple. There's also a option whether if you want to show your Mii while you play. There's not much more I can say about the graphics.
Party has lighthearted tunes and the sound effects you would expect to hear. It would've been nice if you could've put your own music on while you play. Again, nothing much to say.
This game has pretty much unlimited replay value . You've got online, achievements, offline multiplayer, Wii Balance Board Tetris and much more. You'll be getting your money's worth and it's a steal at $12. Even if this were $30-$50,I would still buy it.
In the end, Tetris Party is definetely worth owning. It's addictive and just a blast to play.
