Why Tetris Worlds has gotten such bad reviews escapes me. This is Tetris we're talking about, after all, and I, for one, when I'm interested in playing Tetris, really just want to see some falling blocks and hear some Russian inspired music. The rest is fluff. Visiual fluff. Tetris Worlds, though, offers this and does as good a job as one could expect. I play the DS, not the GBA, and when facing the choice of 30 dollars for a touch screen Tetris or 10 for the GBA version, the GBA win out. TW brings Tetris into a colourful world -- it advances the game really as far as it can be advanced, without altering the basic premise. And, let's be honest, the 8-bit nostalgia backdrops from the DS version, they're not much to look at.
