Tetris is the first game I have ever played on a handheld of my own and I was only 6 back then... But it cought me, and how! I was addicted like a bee to honey. The only thing that stopped me from playing was school and when the battery went dead. Too bad my mother got addicted too and so I couldn't play anytime I wanted to. But let's talk about the game. The concept actually is quite simple. There are falling blocks in different shapes and all you have to do is make horizontal lines. As soon as you make one the line will disappear. That's about it! Ofcourse the more lines you make, the faster the blocks will fall and the higher the score will be. There are two types of gameplay. Type-a is considered to be the "normal" game and let's you play as long as you can, there is no end. It's how long you can keep up with the speed. Type-b on the other hand lets you beat up to different levels of random blocks. There already are blocks in the level and it's up to you to keep up for 25 lines. The graphics aren't that much. They are very simple and straight. This game's power lies in the gameplay! The same story goes for the sound in the game. Although the three music themes sound great, the effects are very simple. Tetris really is the best puzzle game out there so even if it's old, get it if you haven't already!
