Don't expect to create a groundbreaking game with this program. Reccomended only for kids.

User Rating: 5 | The 3D Gamemaker PC
Let's get this straight: The 3D Gamemaker is not a full game authoring tool. Maybe it includes a bunch of prefabricated models and levels and everything is very customisable, but all of them are weak and dated. If you're dying to create your own 3D game, wait for the release of FPS Creator (from the same company, it looks WAY promising). The 3D Gamemaker was made for kids. You can specify lots of properties for most objects of your game: weapons, enemies, obstacles... You can set their health, weapons, explosion types and the like. You can create a game with lots of levels (or edit a level, or even create your own), but these are "linear" at most. There are lots of types of games you can create: shooters, third-person, space battle, racing, etc. You can place obstacles with the placement editor, but it feels unfinished and it's buggy at best. Also you can import your own sound effects and even a picture of someone to apply it to a character. There are also options for 2-player games, and a bunch more. Your level can have a max limit of 20 levels, and you can use as much objects and sounds as you want. But, a 4-level game can easily reach the 80 MB in space, with is very difficult to send to your friends if you don't have a CD Burner. Maybe the posibilities are endless, but when you finish creating your first game, you don't want to see how much you can do. I repeat: Only kids should mess with this program!
