Well when I heard 10 years after the last Parasite Eve game that Square was planing on making a sequel to the series I almost jumped over my house in joy. Even thought it was coming out on the psp which I fight to play with for longer then 20 minutes I was so happy that Aya was coming back to kick some butt. First thing when I started it was the classic music with a remix feel that pulled me in right away, then came the amazing cinematic opening blow me away. The 3rd Birthday has little to do with the two other games on the PS one back in the late 90's and the story can get confusing even if you played the other games and the enemy is these beings called the twisted and even myself playing it over 5 times I am still not 100% on how they came about to being the twisted. So now with the game play, I was very impressed with the controls and movement thinking they did a great job working with the psp's one analog stick with quick weapon hot keys on the d-pad and was a nice touch with the jumping into soldiers with the over drive system was a lot of fun but could help feel bad jumping to another soldier when I was low on life to see him die. My first two times playing on easy and normal was a walk in the park but once on hard it was a big difference in difficulty making me take a few tries to move on but I really wanted to get every unlockables in the game I fought my way through it. Like I said at the beginning I was a big fan of the first 2 games and I was really hoping for another game since PE 2 I was very happy to play this at one time going to be a cell phone game in Japan ported to the psp I say thank you Square and enjoy The 3rd Birthday folks.

Cheers
