The Challenging Retro Game You Never Knew Existed, Until Now!

User Rating: 9 | The Adventures of Elena Temple NS

While Indie Video Game Companies and Developers presenting Retro Video Games that could've been conceivably made in the past is not a new idea; this video game actually takes it a step further. It imagines the same game, being ported onto seven different fictitious video game computers or software! This is a retro exploration game, that imagines a female explorer (think of a Lara Croft prototype), who gets trapped in a maze temple! Of course, she doesn't want to find the way out until she grabs as many of the coins and jewels as she can! While the controls are simple enough, as all you can really do and jump and shoot; it's not easy to get through the game without dying...a LOT!!!! While Elena thankfully gets unlimited lives, she only gets to fire two bullets from her gun at any one time! While pots that are shot stay shot, enemies will always come back if you leave the screen and come back! While the graphics aren't really that great no matter which version of the game you play, the sound, music, and controls are all pretty good! However, the real reason why I don't rank this game any higher, is that I managed to finish the game in only an hour! Still, if you want to play a retro-based exploration video game, this is a pretty good game to play! I recommend it to anyone looking for a unique challenge! Enough said, true believers!
