The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron vs. Jimmy Negatron is about Jimmy on a class trip to the Retroville Museum. While on his trip, he gets bored and wishes for something interesting to happen. So in another dimension is his alter ego, Jimmy Negatron. So Jimmy Negatron warps Jimmy to his own dimension and Jimmy Negatron goes to Retroville to cause chaos. and now it's up to Jimmy to stop Jimmy Negatron from messing up Retroville. Gameplay in Jimmy Neutron vs. Jimmy Negatron is mostly like a platformer with some vehicle action. There are different styles of gameplay in this game, which is random by level. Most levels in the game are like a platformer, where Jimmy jumps from platform to platform. On these platforming levels Jimmy collects items, three items allow Jimmy to invent a gadget that he can use in the game. For example he invents a water balloon launcher, so he can defeat robots. Usually Jimmy will automatically pull out the gadget you need when you need it. Other styles of gameplay include riding on a scooter and using a jet-pack to tag Jimmy Negatron, flying a rocket along with firing food or water balloon, and fixing bugs in Jimmy's computer, which lets Jimmy defeat bugs (literally bugs) in his computer with a laser equipped vehicle. There's not too many enemies for Jimmy to go against in this game, the bit of challenge comes from overcoming obstacles in each levels. The only downside with the game is jumping, since Jimmy will jump forward while he's standing still, that seems to be the only problem in the game. Other than that, this game was a pretty fun adventure with some vehicle moments in it. Graphics are alright in this game. The textures on the levels and characters are on the blurry side, but they are colorful like the cartoon which is good. The sound was also good. Music was simple, but went well with this game. Sound effects were good, each gadget had it's own sound. Plus, the characters voices were good and sounded like they did on the cartoon. Jimmy Neutron vs. Jimmy Negatron was a good PC game. The game played like a platformer, but getting to use vehicles like Jimmy's rocket gave this game some variety which made it a little more fun. The graphics were colorful like cartoon, even though the detail was on the blurry side. This game was a fun adventure game that fans of the cartoon might enjoy.
