I wasn't too big on The Beatles before this game came out. I liked a few songs but I didn't know why they were called "the greatest band of all time". When I first saw the trailers for The Beatles: Rock Band, I was telling my mother about it because they're her favorite band. She was pretty happy about it. Seriously, it's about time The Beatles got their own game. Unfortunately, John Lennon and George Harrison have died, God rest their souls. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are still alive and the game wouldn't have been possible without Olivia Harrison and Yoko Ono. Even though Beatles are no more, it doesn't mean their songs have to be. The story mode is their timeline throughout their career. From their first performance in Liverpool, 1963 at The Cavern, The Ed Sullivan Show, all the way until their final performances in the building rooftop of London in 1969. As the years went by, the members change in appearances. For example, Paul McCartney grew a mustache later on, George's hair grew longer, so on. Not all of their songs are in the game, however, they come as DLC. Later on, there may be more Beatles songs. Because this is to The Beatles, the decision was not to have freestyle drumfills or whammy bar noises on hold notes because it was the widows' who wanted the developers to stay true to The Beatles' music. I thought that was genius of them because it's respecting their music. It would have been cool if the other Rock Bands had it too. Songs are recognizable and some favorites will probably be in the game. From I Saw Her Standing There, A Hard Day's Night, Ticket To Ride, to classics like Don't Let Me Down, Get Back (not the one by Demi Lovato) I Am The Walrus, and Here Comes The Sun. Thanks to this game, I now like The Beatles even more than I did once before. My mother too.
