Why Can't 2K9 Be This Fun?

So let me start out by saying that I love sports games in general but really love good baseball games. MVP 05 is still my favorite baseball game of all time (I don't own a PS3 so I haven't played The Show 09 yet). That being said, I thought 2K9 was fun but it had a lot of issues. So I was more than happy to get to try the Bigs 2 demo. Let me tell you, that had me hooked and the full game is even better! Here is my breakdown:

Graphics: Solid player graphics all around and the special effects are awesome! Smashing a homer into the score board is sick and all the other special spots you can hit in each field look great too!

Gameplay: Very fun gameplay! The new legendary moves really add to the excitement and fun of the game. Also, the new Big Slam is fun to try and pull off and very satisfying when you do pull it off. The AI sometimes seems to make every legendary catch even on the easier settings, but it's not too bad. Also, being able to play seasons is great and the Become A Legend mode is pretty sick as well.

Audio: The sounds of the game are all there and do a solid job. The announcer is pretty good until he starts repeating himself... It's solid though for the most part.

Overall, if you are looking for a fun baseball game, the Bigs 2 is where it's at. I actually traded in 2K9 and bought this because it was just a more fun experience and I actually feel it has better gameplay overall.
