“The Binding of Isaac” is an Action-adventure, dungeon crawler and roguelike game. The game was designed by Edmund McMillen, who also designed Super Meat boy, and Florian Himsl. The game puts the player in the shoes of a crying naked child named Isaac. The player can unlock other players by completing objectives such as having 4 heart container in one run. When his mother gets a message from god demanding the life of Isaac, he flees into the basement of their home which monster infested. In game, the camera is a top-down view. The players use the wasd keys to move Isaac around. The player is able to make Isaac shoot tears using the arrow keys, the tears can only go the one in four directions. If the player is moving in a direction and shoots a tear, the tear will curve towards the direction the player is moving. The player starts on the first floor of the basement with items, these items are dependent on what character the player chooses. There are four manageable recourses in the game, life, keys, bombs and coins. The players starting health is depended on what character the player chose and it can be increased with items. Keys can be obtained by chests, finishing a room, blowing rocks up, finding them in rooms and killing bosses. Bombs and coins are obtained the same way as keys. Keys can be used to open golden chests, treasure rooms and store rooms. Each treasure room contains an item, these items give effects to the player such as 1up, it will give and extra life. At the start of the game the player spawns in a room. The player then can go into another room. Most rooms will contain enemies, these enemies with get stronger the deeper the player is in the basement. If the player come in contact with the enemy he will loss half a heart unless the player has items that say otherwise. After defeating all the enemies in the room the room might drop an item or nothing and the doors will open. Some rooms the player goes in the player could vs a mini boss after the player beats the mini boss the player then may leave. When the player walks in to the boss room, the player will then have to defeat the boss. Every floor boss is usually random. The deeper the player is the harder the boss is. The player might even have to vs a boss that his had already versed but its v2.0. After the player has defeated the boss and other enemies the room with drop an item, open a hole for the next floor and has a chance to open a devil room and an angel room. In devil room there maybe items you can buy that cost heart containers and in angel room there are special heart containers. After the player has gotten to the 6th floor the player may vs mum. After the player defeats mum the player goes in to her womb and the player will have to vs her again but inside her after the player defeats her and player finishes the game and can do it again but the final boss might be different as it could be Satan.
