No it shouldn't, and Assault on Dark Athena is really good in its own right. It just doesn't have the impact of the first game. Things like that can happen, not just in video games but also in movies and music, but Assault on Dark Athena does also falter a bit in its own right. Still a great game, but not quite as good as good as the original. But when you look at the total package Assault on Dark Athena delivers, it leaves the prior game in the dust. That's because the prior game is included, remade for the Xbox 360. It makes it a lot easier to recommend people buying the game, especially if they never got a chance to play the original Escape From Butcher Bay. It's almost worth it for that alone. But you're getting two great games for the price of one, plus now there is multiplayer – a much welcome addition to the franchise.
