A revolutionary FPS game for the Wii with great graphics and online multiplayer.

User Rating: 8 | The Conduit WII
After all the Conduit hype, and all the anticipation, I was very happy with this game.

The game looks great, from the title screen to the game itself, it's obvious a lot of time has been put into the presentation of the game.

The single-player campaign is a little short, but a decent length if you want to collect all the data disks and find the hidden messages scattered throughout the 9 missions. You are saving DC from alien invasion, and you will spend most of your time running and shooting enemies, and sometimes using your ASE to find certain hidden things, or disarm ghost mines that lay in your path. A great addition that adds some variety to the play. You will have to run through enemies though, as they usually keep coming back through conduits or eggsacs that you have to destroy to stop them - so you can't just find a nice corner and kill everyone until there's noone left.

The online multiplayer is great, although a few times I've had it not work. When it does work though, it's a lot of fun - with a lot of variety in modes, although the free for all or team reaper is where I spend most of my time. But this mode will offer a lot of replay value to this game - provided you have wifi - since unfortunately there is no local multiplayer.

There are a variety of weapons in the game also, split up by the 'Human' weapons, 'Trust', or the alien 'Drudge' weapons. The mixture of weapons is what you'd expect, some close and far-range weapons, machine-gun types, explosive guns - a good selection. You also have a few different types of grenades in the game also - with frag, radioactive, and flash grenades.

The controls, if you haven't heard already, are amazing. With everything you can imagine being customizable - from sensitivity, to button mapping, and even HUD placement. The default settings work pretty well though if you don't want to mess with that, but it's such a simple option where those 'I wish that button was right here..' moments can be fixed.

But let's face it, this game is still far from perfect. As much as I love this game there are a lot of improvements that could be made, and hopefully will be in a sequel. What needs to improve:
-Variety to missions
-Local multiplayer support
-Interactions with environment

But the good things about the game:
+Great fun
+Outstanding graphics
+Successful online multiplayer
+Customizable controls

Overall - The Conduit is incredibly enjoyable, and a great-looking fun game that I would recommend to any Wii-owners looking for a FPS fix. And I think this game is revolutionary enough to hopefully change things for this genre in the future.
