User Rating: 6.2 | The Da Vinci Code PS2
Th e Da Vinci Code game is not the best game i ever played,it is not great at all,it's frustating sometimes, with a lot of dialogues,it appears to be deceivieng at many times, but it does shows a lot of historical elements, and catchy detective environment, which makes of it quite a entertaining and patience fill platform, you are Rober Langdon and also your sexy french agent Neuvou,to cooperatively investigate the dark mistery sourrounding the murderer of a louvre employee,Mr.saurniere, which reappears like a bigger mistery behind the mistery to solve the greatest puzzle:
the da vinci code.
I'm not a great fun of the book, though the movie and the game did awake my interest, this game overall is fairly good, the gameplay is very primitive,it looks like something between Captain Tsubasa style, toquether with some stealth attacks thaT are very difficult to do,and the combat mechanics are terrible, and difficult to execute,as many times you'll be making mistakes by pressing the bottoms and/or interrupted by your female colleague, after a few combos, you've see it all, now, the good part of this game is that the voice of the male leader character, even suits better than tom hanks for a detective adventure, the puzzles are very well done, and they are diversified and tricjy hard to crack, you got chemistry, encripting, conventional and unconventional puzzles, each one will lead you to a next clue, each puzzle will posses a hint to help you out through.
you also get to unlock and reveal many secrets useful on your path.
throughout the process you'll learn some important arts history and other cool stuff, the sound and music is fairly good for this subject with some nice gregorian chants, and some others, not great, not bad,is ok to play this game, and if you are like me,you'll feel ok to buy it,renting it it's not great idea as the gaME can take a while to break through,so here you got it ,simple and clean.Kawabonga!
