Didn't know what to expect, especially having picked it up used for $7.50 at the local Blockbuster. You play a thug with special powers, reasons which aren't fully explained. It's basically Grand Auto Theft set in a supernatural setting. There's a main story arc where you try to avenge the death of your girlfriend by taking out the head of the crime family. Like other games, there are side quests which allow you to get extra content, i.e., pics, etc. Load times between scenes are annoying, as are some repetitive phone calls you have to make to get the extra content and trips on the subway to various location. Side quests help to lengthen the game, but not by much. Not a very long game and replay is eh. Haven't tried multiplayer. Controls are pretty good, unless you're using this one weapon, where you "snake" around walls and tight areas to access areas or impale people. LOL. If you're a afficionado of the 4 letter word, you will like this game. Not overly gory, since the graphics are only so so. Acting is good overall, except for the lead character. His Steven Segal/ Brando attempt is sorely lacking.
Not a bad way to kill (no pun intended) a few hours on a late night when you're jonesing for a rerun of Sopranos.
