The Darkness is one of those bloody and brutal games that makes you happy when you play. The story is great, which is kind of a rare thing with FPS. You play as Jackie Estacado, a hitman who on his 21st birthday, discovers that he has an evil entity, the darkness, inside of him. The darkness is a powerful gift that allows Jackie to easily dispose of his enemies, but it is also a terrible burden. The darkness battles Jackie by trying to take control of his body and mind. The struggle between the two is fierce, and highly intriguing to witness. If you are a fan of storyline and FPS I highly recommend this game to you. Even if your not a FPS fan, it's well worth playing to see the story of Jackie Estacado.
