This unique game based on the comic book series does its predesscor proud.

Story: The Darkness follows the story of a hitman named Jackie Estacado. On his 21st birthday, his "Uncle Paulie" betrays him and attempts to kill him. Instead though, Jackie is taken over by a demon known as the Darkness. Jackie uses the Darkness throughout the game to find Uncle Paulie and kill him while he tries to win the internal fight between him and the Darkness.

Gameplay: Solid for the most part. You can use guns and the Darkness's powers in order to solve minor puzzles and to eradicate enemies. I was occasionally frustrated with the Demon Arm and the Creeping Dark. The Demon Arm wouldn't go where i wanted it to and te Creeping Dark is hard to control.

Final Say: This game is a fun way to let out some anger or just to experience an immersive story and be blown away by the graphics. There was the occasional glitch, however.
