A Beautiful game, that no rpg fan should miss.

User Rating: 9 | The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Game of the Year Edition PC
Elder scrolls! Only the name already has an epic feel to it! The name that follows it is a little weird, but it just adds to the game play, for the whole game has weird and creative names.
Well... Let's get to the game.

- Overview:
The game starts great, you in a boat, knowing nothing of the land outside, as you released by the emperor himself in the land of morrowind, claiming that you have a bigger part to be played in the future story of vvardenfell.
Already has a great story. The graphics Are great for the time, and now you can tweak it with mods made by users. The gameplay has its problems, but nothing that bothers, and the story takes a rather long time to start... if you don't be patient you will not enjoy morrowind. But once you get caught on the claws of the great living world that the game presents, you will not want to leave your chair.

- Graphics: Great graphics! For 2002 that is. But even with weird graphics, the game lives up to the chase! The world is so well detailed, the characters so interesting, that soon you will feel like part in the morrowind community (graphics like).

- Sound: It has its problems. Like a sound far away and even so crashes with another sound very near, making it all a little confusing. but if that has happened 2 times while a played was a whole lot. Overall the sound is great, making you very found of the nature around, the 3D is also very well done and it is one of the very best qualities of the game!

- Music: Great music! It's very dark and sorrowing, fits very well to the game. But there is one little problem: it gets repetitive. Thanks goodness for the music mods!

- Story: Even if it takes like... 5 hours for you to advance in the main story, if you get patient enough to go through the side quests (wich is a really load of fun, makes you very lonely, like if you are really trying to fit in this new world.) you'll understand what i mean. The story has so much roleplay that even if you don't actually see you're character much, you will be found of him in no time.
The world is living, breathing, the legends are complex, as it is the story of the centuries in morrowind. That's one thing i have to disagree with gamespot, you don't have to fill the blanks with you're imagination, all you need it's a little research in the libraries and characters in the world to know what's going on.
Isn't that fantastic? It's realism in a Fantasy game! you don't get everything ready from the game, exploring is needed and its a lot of fun.

- Gameplay: It's really fun to see a rpg world in a first person view. The battles ar fun, even if a little strange... there is one thing i don1t like very much: the battle it's not very much well explained... Here is one tip for new players: if you attack pressing the ight or left button ("a" or "d") you will slash, and if you attack pressing up or down ("w" or "s") you will charge. Thats isn't explained in the game. And being a mage character is a real pain. Is very unbalanced. But if you try really hard, you will be a mage. But will take longer.
Besides that, the gameplay it's very cool, explore is fun, battle is fun, dungeon crawling is fun.

Well, that's my thoughts on morrowind, a game that i will play through the entire main story at least. And one that a recommend very strongly to everybody that likes a none common, innovative and fun game.
