Four years after release and it's still undeniably one of my favourites.
Morrowind probably wont be winning any awards for best graphics or sound, but I have never, in my entire life, finished a video game with such satisfaction and contentment. Of all the things I have ever purchased, I feel that Morrowind has done the greatest job at giving me my money's worth.
This game is, quite possibly, one of the deepest gaming experiences available, even today. In all truthfulness it took me three years to finally complete this game. Now, you might think that's pretty pathetic, but let me say that I am a casual gamer. Unfortunately I have numerous other aspects of my life to contend with outside of video games. The point is, don't allow anyone to tell you that this game is only for the hardcore and not for casual gamers. Do not allow yourself to be robbed of such a magnificent opportunity.
I find this entire "character building" concept rather intriguing. Morrowind ultimately opened the door for me in terms of acquiring an interest in this genre of video games now. Prior to playing Morrowind I was basically an Action-Adventure and Sports game fan, but this is not so today. And of all the RPG games I have gone through, nothing even remotely compares to Morrowind.
At the end of the day I could give this game a million compliments. But why waste my breath? I highly recommend that anyone and everyone who hasn't yet played Morrowind to go out and buy yourself a copy. Four years after release, I'm assuming it's now rather cheap. If there ever was a game that should be considered "priceless," this is it.
