War in Iraq and Oblivion
Contrary to popular belief there is "Down-Time" out here where i am. That being said a regular game that may get horrible reviews, might get better reviews from the soldier's because there isn't anything else to do, so the focus of comparison lends itself as a handicap. But this is about Oblivion not any other game.
When i was released for the day i was eggstatic when i heard i had mail, i was hoping that it was Oblivion...and it was! I ran to my tent, ripped open the plastic, and inserted my game, only to find myself still awake and playing 12 hours later. I had not read a review, i had not seen a screenshot, and hadn't even seen a video of this game, all i knew was that there was a New Elder Scrolls for the 360 and it was a must have. I know that there is no such thing as perfect, but from where i am at, this was an object of Perfection. I know that since then i have read one of the main gripes is the loss of accomplishment due to leveled loot, but i can get over that. I know that after barely scratching the surface of this game and being 100+ hours into it, that even if you are not a RPG gamer, this is still a must buy. I involve myself in this game on a regular basis and always with each session find something new i didn't know existed. I am constantly being bombarded with surprises that only shows me how much time the developers put into this game. I can only wish that the next string of 360 games were as innovative as this. Until something else comes around that could be mistress to my Oblivion, i will sit where i stay. This game is worth purchasing a 360 alone.
