The elder scrolls games have continuously tried to place you in an open ended world in which you may do almost whatever you please, Oblivion is no different. The game starts with you waking up in a cell and getting involved in the emperors means of escape from the kingdom. From there you find yourself completing quests, battling in gladatorial games, and trying to make money to continue the main quest. The great thing this game has to offer (which took me a while to figure out) is the guilds. You can spend hours completing exciting quests for guilds, and it is very satisfying when you move up in ranks. Each guild seems to offer a storyline immersive and long enough that it could be considered it's own game. I can't even begin to list all of the things I enjoy about this game. It's literally like living your life in another world. There are some annoying things that keep it from perfect. Like when you kill someone a guard will automatically show up. How did this guard know about this if the person was alone when you killed them? Also, if you steal in Bravi (for example) how do the guards in Chorrol know about this and immediately come running? I understand that they could pass the info but it just seems a little strange. Also, I would like that if you changed your clothes you would be able to fly under the radar in disguise. Well... i guess something for them to add in the fifth game! Overall, great game though.
