This is by far one of my favorate PC games of all time. You can do almost anything. You can customize yoour charater's face to create an absolutely unique person. You choose your birthsign, your race, your name (obviously), and your class. You can choose one of the many pre-set classes or make your own personal class that suits your play style. Make a living many different ways. Explore ruins, be a pick pocket, a deadly assassin, fight in the Colloseum for glory, honor, and of course money. There are dozens of side quests in this game. You could beat the main story line in a couple of hours but it will take MUCH longer to beat this game 100%. There are many little treats for people who look and take their time. Every ruin and fort has a little bit of story, even if they don't have a quest to go with that story. It's still intersting to see what happens if you go to the bottom. There ae a couple of races to choose from each with specialties. There are Wood Elves which have the ability to control low lv creatures and start with a bonus in the marksman skill. There are Dark Elves who can summon an ancestral spirit (AKA a ghost pet) to fight for them and have a bonus in summoning magic. There are High Elves who are the most powerful race when it comes to magic and have bonuses in most magic classes. There are Nords who are resistant to magic and are meant mainly as tankers. There are the Imperials who are the jack-of-all-trades of the Oblivion realm and have small bonuses in almost everything. There are Orcs who have bonuses in Armorer and Blunt. There are the Argonians which are lizard-like creatures who can breathe underwater. And then there are the Feline creatures known as Khajits who are the fastest and can see in the dark as well as cause fear to all opponents around them. There are absolutely hundreds of ways to customize your Oblivion experience. You can do whatever you want don't just rush through it. Sit back smell the roses and enjoy this lengthy game.
