Good change up from Cyrodiil
User Rating: 9.5 | The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles PS3
Shivering Isles adds a good change of scenery versus the standard views of Tamriel. Personally, the story of the Isles could have been extended a bit, or but the new npc's introduced are extremely entertaining. Lord Sheogorath is hil-ar-e-ous! As well as other new characters introduced. The duality of the land adds a nice touch, and as always the night sky is beautiful. The only down sides are that the story is a bit short, there are no mounts (you can't bring your horse(s) into the isles), there is no house to purchase and the new weapons are not any better than what is already available. The expansion does make up for the short story by having a bunch of new side quests and a sizable land to explore, new enemies and some entertaining content. It probably took about 20 hours or so (guesstimation) to finish the story, but as any ESIV knows, just exploring has racked up a bunch of hours on it's own, not including the side quests. A must own for Oblivion fans.
