To Amazing for words

User Rating: 9.7 | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion X360
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is an amazing rpg that is highly addictive, and boats many hours of glameplay. The game has very good graphics, music, battle system, leveling system, weapon selection, character customization system, side quests, storyline, and a great continuation of the amazing series known as The Elder Scrolls. The game is hard to begin into if you have never played previous Elder Scrolls games, because the customization that you can do to your character is almost limitless. You can literally put yourself in the game, because you can create your own face, from the lips, to age, hair color, hair style, and much much more. You also get to choose the abilities you want to have to progress with throughout the game. For beginners, you should play the game for a few hours into it, just to make sure you have the abilities you want, because you don't want to have major abilities you will never use. You can also choose if you want to be a warrior, a mage, or stealthy, or somewhat of a mixture. Next in the game is the amazing battle system and leveling system. The battle system is unique in that the monsters level up with you so that you don't become unstoppable in the beginning, and your not to weak in the end. Magic is also an option when fighting, opposed to just weapons, or you can fist fight. Magic in the game has many different types depending on what you need it for. You can have damaging magic, or healing magic, or magic to create shields, and a whole lot more. The leveling system of the game is also especially unique, because you don't level up by killing enemies. You level up by using your major skills. Also when leveling you get boosts to certain attributes(attributes determine how powerful you are with certain things, such as weapons, or the amount of health, magicka, or fatigue you have, and etc.), when you level certain abilities you get attribute boosts, so leveling up is very strategic in the game. Also the game boasts over 100 hours of gameplay, i have over 130 hours in my game, and i have not finished all of the side quests. The game is very addicting and fun to play, and so by the time to get over 100 hours, you are still craving more. The storyline is very good, and by itself give you over 20 hours of gameplay. The game is HUGE, there is an in-depth history to the game that mostly only returning Elder Scrolls Fans would know. The game has books that you can delve into for hours and hours of knowledge for knowledge sake. There are many guilds you can join, including, the thieves, mage's, fighter's, Dark brotherhood, the Arena, and more. The game is so open ended that you can put in over 100 hours easily before even starting the main quest. Also there are many side quests outside of guild work, where you just talk to people and ask about things and they will sometimes tell you things they need done. There is also a lot of downloadable content available for download, that adds over 30 more hours of gameplay. Talking in the game is also a very unique feature in the game for many reasons. People either like you or they don't, and depending on hoe much they like depends on what information they will give you. But of course there is a way to persuade people to like you, which is somewhat challenging. Also, everybody in the game that you can talk to, actually talks, not words that are typed, but they speak. Whether you want to walk for hours just exploring the mazing scenery, talk to people, fool around, do the main quest, or just do side missions, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion gives you the ability to do all this and more. The Game is a must have for any gamer, either a newbie to the Elder Scrolls Series, or a returning fan. Even though I have only scratched the Surface of Oblivion i highly recommend this game to anybody who has an X-Box 360, PS3, or a PC.
