A game that gets people to ask, "What if?"

User Rating: 9.6 | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion X360
The title may seem a little deceiving to some, but if you really think about it, you could ask a TON of "what if" questions about this game. If you haven't played Oblivion (Which I highly doubt if you own a computer, a PS3, or an Xbox 360) then you're missing a majestic game. First, the graphics are basically some of the best you're probably going to find in the next few years. Every time you play you'll feel a nice sensation of realism, and if you have the chance to look out into the distance towards the mountains or the sky in the game, you'll probably find some of the most breathtaking images even when compared to actual life. The soundtrack makes you feel like you're in medieval times. The character structure and story line are great, and of course the game play has a lot to offer from magic to the combat. Overall this is a great game. This is where I get to what my title was pointing at. The reason this game doesn't get a 10, is because of a few reasons. I always asked myself, "What if this game didn't keep freezing up on me?! I want to play more!" Or something like, "What if there were secret unlockables that require precise objectives to get them?" Maybe you might think, "What if there were more things to be besides a warrior or a mage?" But the most common question is, "WHAT IF THIS GAME WAS ONLINE!?!?!" This game would probably deserve a 11 out of 10 if it had that. It might even beat WoW off the charts. But it doesn't, so people must live with the loneliness that comes with a single player RPG. But despite of that, if you're game doesn't freeze up on you, you may find yourself playing this game, at the minimum, 50 hours, and at the maximum, 250 hours. Now that's money well spent! But I have to say, this game is a great game to buy, and that's it. Once you get the game, you're going to be hooked. Even if you get it on Gamefly, you may be paying more than it costs if you were to get it from Gamefly. So seriously buy this game, even if you're not an RPGer.
