Oblivion is a RPG game that will keep you hooked for hours, day's and you'll still feel you've missed something.

User Rating: 9.5 | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion PC
Yes The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is definitly quite a bit different from the older one's like Daggerfall and Arena but it still has a HUGE immersive world that will amaze you with how the graphics look. Im going to try to break this down as I have been doing with past reviews by scoring seperatly the Gameplay, Sound, Difficulty, Graphics, Controls, And the Base score.

Gameplay [9/10]

The gameplay in Oblivion is done in a First person perspective (There is an option to use third person but the aimer dissappears; BUT there are mods for he PC version to add a crosshair to the third person view if you really do prefer it but first person is much easier to play with... After you exit the tutorial dungeon you are free to do as you wish no restrictions or anything you can go about and do as many side quests as you want go to the Shivering Isles and many other things before you even have to start the main quest and this is something I really like because it gives you freedom throughout the game.
The leveling system in Oblivion is a bit odd but I got used to it and again if your on the PC you can easily find modifications to enhance your experience with Oblivion.

Sound [8/10]

The sound in Oblivion is good the adventure music just makes you want to wander off and find things and places and the dungeon music really gives you that effect that your in one.. A lot of the spell and weapon sounds are the same and don't have much variety between them but Oblivion is a big game and imagine all the different sounds etc. you would just need for everything.. the game would be far bigger than it already is HOWEVER there are again mods for the PC and I won't stress that enough.

Graphics [9/10[

Graphics don't always make a good game but Oblivion keeps that eye-candy graphics while being a great game at the same time, the sunset's in the sky often are very nice to look at and are screenshot worthy.. hell you could probably put one on your desktop background haha. The hair in Oblivion kinda annoys me because it doesnt' move around or anything but it's not like it's that important.. Swords look nice and with HDR enabled the shine and reflections are magnificent looking on Armor and swords and other objects throughout the game.

Controls [NR]

Im not going to rate the controls because it's pretty straight forward with them, mouse sensitivity keyboard controls or a joystick, your set.

Difficulty [10/10]

Ahh the difficulty, Oblivion has a bar that you can slide a notch back and forth on it and the further left you go the easier the game gets (To the very left you do 6X the dmg to your foes and they do 1/6 the dmg to you than normal) and when in the middle everything is even (1X dmg to foes 1X dmg to you) and when it's slid to the right all the way well the game get's extremely hard because your enemy's do SIX times the damage to you and you only do 1/6th the dmg to them! All and all the game can be a little harder at the start depending on yours race, class etc especially during Kvatch with scamps etc etc.

Overall (Not based on everything above) [9.5/10]
