This game breathes new life into an already great franchise and genre, and does it in style!
First off the Special edition comes with a bonus disk, bonus book, and coin which i thought was well worth the extra 10 dollars, so i score it high in value for that. Not only that, but this game has hundreds upon hundreds of hours of gameplay, and lets face it, all the Xbox-360 games have been short, and had a few problems that weren't taken care of before a rushed launch. Oblivion is the first GREAT game for 360 and with so much gameplay, it will remain great for a very very long time.
The music, and sound effects are top-notch as well, every surface, piece of armor, weapon, and animal sound unique, and with thousands of recorded phrases, my only gripe is that some of the voices sound too old for faces, etc. With such a vast selection of recordings though this is just a minor complaint.
The graphics are simply beautiful, the models are well detailed, and the landscapes are stellar. The lighting effects are very well done, with a dynamic look and feel that is passive yet has a great affect on how you view the game. Also all the characters have a unique face due to the editor that is used in the game, making the experiance much more immersive, yet it take a good while for you yourself to make your character just the way you want to with the new character creation system.
As you would guess from a Elder Scrolls game, the story is awsome, It didn't set in until about the 3rd quest of the main story just how great it was. The fighting is greatly improved from Morrowind and has a much better, "hands on" kind of feel which pleases all the fans i am sure. All in all this game is so good, and has so few flaws, that it is worth the 10/10 that it gets.
