Best RPG I've played. Could have been a 10 if not for small technical issues...

User Rating: 9.6 | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion X360
I'm not a big fan of RPGs. In fact, I play FPS and sports games almost exclusively. However, I did have some fun with Baldur's Gate on the PS2 so I decided to give this game a try. I have been impressed with almost every aspect of the game. The detail, size, and scope of the game are amazing. The amount of freedom that you have in character creation and development are excellent. The plot is interesting and well paced and the ability to do so many sidequests means that you're never stuck with only one thing to do. The combat system is well designed and gives you a good sense of urgency unlike many other RPGs. My only complaints are as follows:
- You are limited when using ranged attacks as most enemies look to close the distance between you immediately.

- The game locks up more frequently than I'd like. While I don't mind it once in a long while, this game tends to do it at least once every two or three hours. Luckily, the autosaves coupled with the ability to save at any time make it easy to pick back up where you left off.

- The arrest system is annoying at times. While I don't mind being arrested for a crime that I was caught committing, I don't like that I was arrested for stealing from a less than savory establishment when no one witnessed the crime. It is next to impossible to do anything productive once you have committed a crime. The guards are overpowering and they arrive in droves.

However, one quick look at my ratings for the game and you'll see that these issues only stand out because of how well the rest of the game is constructed. This is a must have for the 360...
