I have now lost my social life closing the gates of oblivion
Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is by far the best elder scrolls I have Mororwind with tribunal and blood morne (GOTY Pack) and I loved that game but Oblivion oppend my eyes on how a true RPG should be. One major improve ment is Voice acting, If you don know why this is an improvement you oviously have not played morrorwind. No more reading page after page of mindless info and the conversations are back and forth and options go along with the conversation. The intro to the game is far better than morrowind becasue you play and deside your class, race, and are able to change it before you go into the world of oblivion. The way you play in the sewers (skills you use) determine what the blades guy recomends for you and you can chose a differnt class if you want but if you new his recomandation will best fit your playing style shown (then again you can create your own custome class to be your playing stye. I f you are a pro in the elder scrolls series i would do this). The basic leveling up of the game is the same as morrowind you level up when you gain 10 levels in your skills. The main quest is clearly defined and is much harder to stray from unlike morrowind and posobly the best improvement ever is a good quest log and fast travel to any city (that you know of) and a cumpas with a marker to what direction you should be traveling. The side quests are just as fun as ever (the arena is my thing). Weather affects and time play a part in quests. Stealth is now easyer to tell if you have been spoted and is now a click down on the left anilog stick and not a hold down button like im morrowind. The graphics all around are EPIC, lighting, sound, weather effects, reality in combat like when you block, strike, and get hit. Also a improvement that most people notice right a way is that NPC talk to each other and some theif guild missions play of this which is also very cool. This game took 4 years to come out but it was most definaly woth the wait. Just wait till an expanshion pack and I will be playing this game for 4 years.
