Simple ~ A "MUST" BUY GAME!!!
Now when the Xbox 360, there were many screenshots of 'ES4: Oblivion' I was very surprised how good they were, but wasnt too sure whether my tv box could provide such quality. Again, b4 the game actually came out, this game recieved so much hype, and magazines giving it such a high review score & including Gamespot. I was at a 50/50 point considering to buy this game, hoping that it wasnt disappointing as its predecessor. So I decided to buy this game on the release date, and the answer was......
NO, I WASNT disappointed AT ALL, rather, damn HAPPY that I actaully brought it.
Gameplay ~ based on 'ES3: Morrowind', but standards have been raised greatly. The battle system is more responsive when you start flighing and especially blocking. The screen interface is well presented and very easy to get used to and interact with. The developers also added a stealth mode, a bit like Splinter Cell, and make surprise attackes on enimes. The interacion with NPCS is also very well done. Overall, its hard not to rate Oblivion's gameplay 10/10, because there are still some bits and pieces where it could be improved on. The battle system gets a bit repetative sometimes, especially with melee attacks, gliches in the system which does irratate the gamer and also, I would like to see the grab system being used a bit more effectively such that it would be used in stealth kills etc
Graphics ~ what more can I say? I dont have a HDTV, just a 21" box. But I can honestly tell u the graphics in this game is jsut absolutely outstanding. I mean yes, the character faces look very unappealing but that doesnt mean the graphics are bad. If you just look at the environement (especially outside town) you will be shocked. Everything just looks so REAL!!! The character models are made very well and so are the armoury and weapons. Overall, this has to be a 10/10 for graphics.
Sound ~ I really appreciate just how many speeches they put into this game from NPCS. I find it really convenient because we can scrap the text reading (^_^) , sound effects and attack noises etc are well made. However I do feel the soundtrack can be grealty improved - 9/10
Value ~ To be honest, I feel that a gamer should only write a review after completing the game as a minimum (as I have done for all my previous reviews.) However I have played around 20 hrs and I'm still on side quests and havent really progressed into the mission. I feel that, by the time I actually complete the game, most people have already played it and the review is slighly pointless. As I said before, I have already played 20 hrs. That alone deserves a score of 8.5 for value. Who cares if u spend $60 on Oblivion, THIS IS JUST THE MOST AWESOME GAME OUT RIGHT NOW!!! I wrong to do this, but i honestly do believe that this game will at least give me 60+ hrs of gameplay & thats enough to give 10
Overall ~ enough said... got an Xbox 360? No? Well this is the game to make u get one. If Yes... WAT THE HELL R U WAITING FOR?!?!?!
