This game has kept me occupied far too long already. It keeps you coming back for more with new surprises every time.

User Rating: 9.6 | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion X360
I ran out when Oblivion was released and dropped $1000.00 on a new HDtv. and the $600.00 or so on a 360 console and the game itself. At first I had buyers remourse but it soon fizzled away when I started playing Oblivion. The game turned out to be more then I had expected. The game looks and plays great. Enemy ai is great but I do have a beef with not knowing if a distant person is a friend or foe. If you shoot them with an arrow from a distance to garner your sneak attack bonus, and they are friendly, then you quickly turn a friend into a foe. If you approach a person in the distance to see if you can talk to them and if they are friendly, and they turn out not to be, then you have wasted your opportunity of a sneak attack.
The game is a bit buggy in that it froze on me about 8 to 10 times in over 200h. of gameplay. Also I found a few minor glitches in the inventory system. I would have liked to have seen larger enemies or battles with large bosses. Climbing would have been nice. Jumping in third person perspective looks a bit stiff to me, when people jump, they are not rigid like the model in this game. Flying spells would be nice. More voice actors would have broken up the monotony of hearing the same 4 voices all the time.
The visuals are beautiful and I have often just sat and watched the beauty of a Cyrodill sunset. With a 6.1 surround sound system, the sound is also very good and immersive.
After finishing the main quest, the game continues and you can go back and tie up all the loose ends. It just keeps on going.
