Oh my God!
The graphics in this game are some of the best. Not photo-realistic, because that wouldn't work in my opinion, but amazing none-the-less. The only thing I don't like is that once again, a 360 title seems to have the "light haze" around everything. Is this the "new black" for this console? It looks like the old TV/movie technique to make old women look younger (Elizabeth Taylor). This doesn't detract too much though.
The gameplay is unbelivable. There is simply so much to do that you find yourself doing "stuff" for hours on end without really doing anything. This can be a drawback, but if you allocate your time well, it makes for an incredibly immersive world to play in. For example, I am now level 16, I've played for 30 hours, and I've only completed 2 main story quests. I have seen some of the message boards, and I can easily believe 100+ hours on gameplay. If the extras get too much, do some storyline quests.
Sound is so good on a digital system that you are completely immersed in the environment. I have noticed nothing except for a little musicla foreshadowing that alerts me to draw my weapon.
Downloadable content. What a fantastic idea. I don't even mind paying for quality content (The Orrery, and Frostcrag Spire), but horse armour.... Give me a break! Unless the horse comes with it, and has something worthwhile.....okay, okay, I bought it....it sucked. The only horse I could get was an old nag....she died....armour gone..."sigh".
If you are not a fan of RPGs, then this is probably not for you. If you are a fan, then why are you reading this and not palying it. Buy it, buy it now!
