oblivion review 6.0

oblivion has got good graphics, good voice acting which you find after a while gets really annoying and you skip through it anyway. the main storyline is to be honest in my opinion quite tedious. all you mainly do is unlock loads of these oblivion gates, and interact with a few quite generic npc's. the exploring is the same as fallout 3. basically you travel to this cave, fort, dungeon kill this, kill that, collect this armor, weapon, spell, open this chest, etc same tedious repetitive exploring formula as fallout 3. like with fallout 3 as well after the main storyline and the factions (at least in oblivion you can actually join these groups and do loads of quests for them) and lame side quests theres nothing to do, you spend all them hours into levelling up and for what? when you have already completed the main quest and some other stuff as well. i gave this game a good 60 hours in total and i think its more open, immersive, bigger than fallout 3. but with the frustrating game menu, generic characters, tedious storyline, awkard controls it just gets so lame. no way near as good as morrowind. i know its sounds so korny, but morrowind feels like is was made with love, and has got tons of heart, beautiful graphics (better than oblivion, not technically speaking obviously cause morrowind is a last gen game where as oblivion is a modern gen game) but in the way they are actually done.
