An Instant Classic, showing its age!

User Rating: 9.5 | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition X360
OK Before we start I would like to clarify that i technically bought the new 5th anniversary edition of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Alright lets begin, The Elder Scrolls Universe is very immersive that will cause you to play for hours on end. These games have sooo much stuff in them that its not funny, the maps are huge and the detail is insane! Not many companies are making games that have long campaigns, but this took me well over 1 year to complete this fully then i purchased the new 5th anniversary edition earlier this month to get the Knights of the Nine, and Shivering Isles DLCs... Well Worth it. I enjoyed the main game so much that i had to get the DLC it was almost required.

Well here's my quick review, The game came out in 2006, and it is still great as is, but even then it was showing how powerful it was, as the game lags occasionally and probably requires the Xbox to have a more powerful Processor, Graphics Card, and more RAM. Details in the game like mountains, doors, and other textures are showing age as they are very low quality to minimize the lag that the Xbox would put out i guess. Weapons and mechanics are great but do show age as the during the jump your character does not use its legs, and the sword swinging is a little slow and more like he lugs it around.

in total i give oblivion a 9.5/10
here's the breakdown:
Gameplay: 9/10
Story: 10/10
Weapons: 9.5/10
Mechanics: 8/10
Graphics: 7/10
