Oblivion is like an alternative life. You can basically do anything you want. The world is vast and exploring couldn't get any better. The graphics are amazing and the quests are creative(except for the main quest). I've already spent 300 hours across 3 characters and am continuing to play for over a year now. But now for the bad: The game is buggy. I'm sure that you will run into many technical bugs like me throughout the game that aren't too bad but do detract from the experience. Also the loading times are very long and might be too unbearable for some, but I've played so much I'm used to them. The biggest problem I've had is probably the audio. Sometimes the voice acting won't initiate for an NPC and they'll be standing there with their mouths not moving with no sound while the text is on the screen, this is annoying. Also the sounds that my own character make usually are about 5 seconds off of the actual events in the game, like when my character jumps from a high surface and yells in pain, the yell won't actually come until 5 seconds after it happened, also annoying. And the most important, the main quest is terrible. It's just one major cliche wrapped in a bow, with only one good part, and a terrible, weak ending. But all other quests in the game, especially the guilds, make up for that. If u own a 360, do yourself a favor and buy this, but if the graphical lag and loading will bother you too much you might want to consider purchasing it for PC.
