Freedom and Fun
The graphics and scenery are amazing. So is the weather system and day/night system.
You can become whatever you want, you can pick an class or make one of your own. Also you can create your own looks.
The enemies and creatures are diverse and act accordingly. The bears and Lions can be really fierce. And rats and crabs act according to their nature.
There's enough matter to slice up. From animals to undead and mythic creatues and off course all of the races in Tamriel.
The voice acting and speech is great. They speak clearly and convincing.
I always laugh when some guy throws a death threat too me like: Tonight I will eat you bones!! or I fought mudcrabs more fierce then you!
And then there's the freedom. The game doesn't push you in an linear direction. You can do what you want. And there's enough to do.
Join the guilds and complete their repsective questlines. Join the arena and become the champion, or follow the main questline. You can do this in any order you like. Or you just go do something that comes up in you. There's enough land, caves, and dungeons too explore oon foot or horse. And there are good chances you find something interesting (or maybe just an bandit) along the way.
The major cities are nice too see, and they feel very alive. People walk around doing their thing and having chats. The ambience and architecture is great. The houses are filled with (sometimes useless) stuff and the taverns tables are filled with food and mugs. Also the stuff they sell in shops are also on display. So you really get the impression youre in a real shop, rather then a boxed room with an counter.
Wich also means you can steal the stuff you see.
But if you get busted the law will be onto you. And you get a few choices.
Its fun too play around with things. Its possible too assault some stranger of guard and run too an mage's guild, and if youre in favor with the guild, they will start fighting and protect you. But be carefull you don't screw things up and get people killed that are important too you.
well enough said, If you havent tried this game yet go buy it. If you have just an slight interest in fantasy / rpg's / medieval themes, DO IT!
And if you think the game is just too big and overwhelming for you or its too time consuming too figure everything out on your own, consider buying The Strategy Guide from Prima.
