Absolutely Engrossing
This is a game without rules. You are free to do anything you want and create a character that is completely unique to your play style. The leveling system is revolutionary for RPG's in that you no longer need to apply stat points after each level. Instead you level up abilities and magic through use and apply perks to whichever class you want. This leaves you with more time to play the game and actually more freedom to create your perfect character.
The shout system is another welcome addition to the Elder Scrolls franchise. The system is heavily infused with the story and seperate from magic or stamina. You absorb souls from dragons you slay (completely dynamic battles) and then search through dungeons to learn the shout words. With three levels to each shout and 20 shouts to learn these alone will offer at least 40 hours of gameplay.
I can't stress enough how massive this game is. I haven't even scratched the surface and I've clocked in over 40 hours. If you want an expansive experience that you can play for the rest of the year I cannot recommend this game enough.
