This game was abysmally bad. Easily the worst I've ever played. Story...what story? You just randomly teleport to different cliche horror environments. Random recycled zombies everywhere, and are never explained. Random notes are picked up, and you'd think they are clues to the story, but no, they have nothing to do with anything. It starts out as a survival sneak around game, and quickly devolves into a clunky over the shoulder shooter with the worst controls ever. This game is so bad I'd wager that anyone giving it good marks is either a member of Bethesda's marketing team, or has a crush on Mikami. The characters have less personality than wet cardboard. There are NO payoffs to literally anything in this game. The two sub bosses who keep reappearing (safe-head guy and The Ring ripoff girl) you would think, at some point, would have some explanation. Nope. None here. The combat AI is wretched. You can just run past pretty much anything. Cheesy zombies that look like extras from The Purge in clown masks with GUNS. WHY DO THE ZOMBIES HAVE GUNS. Which doesn't help them much because they just walk/shamble straight to you while firing like stormtroopers before the give up shooting. Oh, and you only get a small handful of weapons, which is kind of ridiculous because you cant pick up and guns the zombies drop (submachine guns etc) Melee is punching, even though your character uses a bowie knife for stealth kills. What? The dialogue is awful. The voice acting is cringeworthy. the nurse in the save point zone (where you have to endure a screeching nails on chalkboard sound EVERY TIME YOU GO THERE) never has anything to say. Ever. Nothing. Its like the writers got together and said "you know what, what if we make a horror themed game with no story or motivation for the player?" The ending was weak, but then again I didnt expect much after slogging through this snooze fest.
