Well, if you would like to play football manager and not go crazy with options and settings, this is the way.

Since I first played FAPLM 2000 and 2001 I expected progress in development and in placing the right features in the right places, and for the design to stay the same. And that is exactly what I got.

This game is a usability and UI perfection for a football manager. Straight lines, simple but effective graphics, very very very good manager system.

This game was created buy the players with style and sense of organization for the players who know how to use it. All of the options are plain, simple and easy to understand. And best of all they are in the right place to begin with.

I mean, to praise something that is good has become a MUST since we get this crap today. EAMail system in the game was great. Match model and physics are for that time good, and that's it. You do get some weird results but when your players are godlike than the first game of season easily comes down with 11-0. :-)

And what happened to this? Well, someone at EA SPORTS thought it would be a great thing that they create TOTAL CLUB MANAGER, and it tanked. It sucked so hard I cant even describe.

Point of the story. FAPLM was a great manager for the REST OF US, that LOVE THE GAME (football) and don't like to "personalize" the game, or talk to players or... I mean.
They (EA) had the best looking menu and usability in the game you just needed to PUMP IT with features, reasonable features, mind you.

The biggest problem of the game is stability and slow downs in reactions and menu. :-( Sometimes game will corrupt the save file so you needed to keep 2-3 backups. :-(

So you can think, that even with such lousy work record it became the greatest, in my book.

Today I wish to play exactly the same game +10% features and compatibility and stability at it best.
